Big Dog Ranch Rescue Emergency Mission to Texas to Rescue Freezing Dogs

Palm Beach County, FL – February 19, 2021 – As frigid weather wreaks havoc across Texas, Big Dog Ranch Rescue is receiving calls for help from shelters without power, with burst water pipes and who house dogs outside in the normally warm Texas weather.

In response, Big Dog Ranch Rescue is launching an emergency mission to Texas to provide food, water, blankets and medical supplies to Texas families and shelters for their dogs and cats suffering in the disaster. Trucks will be packed with supplies to take to Texas and crates to bring back dogs who are struggling to survive out in the cold.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue Founder and President, Lauree Simmons, says strays are freezing to death in the streets as shelters scramble with propane heaters and anything they can come up with to warm dogs housed outdoors, “Between loss of power, burst water pipes, a food shortage and with many dogs sheltered outside it’s truly a nightmare and we must help our Texas neighbors right now. We want lone star state families to know they are not alone and we ask for donations so we can take as many supplies as our trucks can carry.”

Texas is a big state with a big heart and they need our help right now. Cash donations will pay for gas, supplies and transportation costs. Blankets, dog and cat food and cases of water may also be dropped at Big Dog Ranch Rescue between 9AM and 5PM any day. To make a donation visit BDRR.ORG .
