Arrived: Florida Artists Emerged Exhibition

Date:  January 25-February 24, 2018, Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery, Tequesta, FL

Lighthouse ArtCenter announces ARRIVED, the extravaganza designed to open our new year.  This exhibition features the work of five Florida artists who have achieved international acclaim. The exhibition is designed to bring awareness to the cultural, historic and environmental sensitivities we all experience.  Among them, these groundbreaking talents have installed their work at the North and South Poles, the CERN Hadron Collider, and one has had work in the hands of people on all seven continents.  There has never been a more diverse nor more passionate group of multi-media artists shown together in one location.  Most of these highly collectible pieces will be available for purchase. Artists include: Xavier Cortada (Miami), Sarah Crooks (Jacksonville), Mary GrandPre (Sarasota),  Cheryl Maeder (West Palm Beach),  Margaret Ross Tolbert (Gainesville)

Lunch & Learn Series: “Art As An Agent of Change” with Helen Zughaib

Date: Wednesday, February 21st, 2018, Noon to 2:00pm, Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery, Tequesta, FL,  Tickets: $75, Lunch catered by Hampton Forks

Whether lecturing at Harvard University, a foreign embassy, or one of the many galleries that exhibit her work, Helen Zughaib promotes the message that art can be a powerful and positive agent of change. Her work and dynamic presentations have Helen in high demand at galleries and institutions around the world. Helen is an internationally recognized artist, lecturer and cultural envoy whose vibrant and powerful paintings have been gifted to heads of state. Her work can be found in the collections of the White House, the Library of Congress and Embassies across the globe. The Lighthouse ArtCenter is thrilled to have Helen as the featured speaker for our February Lunch & Learn.

5th Annual Plein Air Festival

Date: March 3 - 11, 2018 Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery and various outdoor locations around Palm Beach and Martin Counties

35 of the top, award-winning artists from all over the U.S. will paint the beautiful south Florida landscape, from Sunday through noon on Friday.  This is the 5th year for the largest Plein Air Festival in South Florida. Nancy Tankersley, last year’s Grand Prize winner, will serve as judge. Included in the participants are Plein Air Magazines Salon winners Kathleen Hudson and Carl Bretzke, along with nationally-acclaimed artists from throughout the United States and Italy. The gallery will be free and open to the public during the week of the festival to view and purchase the wet paintings – Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Check website daily for newly completed paintings available for sale in the gallery.

Location: Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery, Tequesta FL Free to the public, paintings for sale and light refreshments.

EVENT: VIP Collector’s Party, Friday, March 9, 2018, 5 to 9 p.m.

Location: Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery, , Tequesta, FL

VIP Tickets: $125 per person (*includes a $125 coupon towards the purchase of one painting) Awards will be awarded at 4:30 p.m., and the doors will open at 5 p.m. for VIP’s.

General Admission Tickets: $25 6:30 – 9 p.m. (*includes a $25 coupon towards the purchase of one painting)
