JUPITER, FL – June 27, 2018 – Roses are red, violets are blue, there’s a Jupiter resident who wants to share her passion for flowers with you!

Local resident Myra Khan grew up in western Pennsylvania and was inspired by her parents and their spectacular garden. With family trips that included attending flower shows or going to magnificent gardens, such as Longwood outside of Philadelphia, or Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, Myra “was immersed in and loved flowers early on.”

After college, although her career was in financial consulting, Myra had the chance to put her passion to work at the Chicago Botanic Garden where she volunteered in the plant information and research, and children education departments. After moving to Florida 19 years ago, she retired from financial consulting. Self-taught in flower arranging, she has continued her passion by starting Jupiter Inlet Blooms in January 2018. “Jupiter Inlet Blooms is not a company; it is a three-fold endeavour,” explains Myra.

Myra is an Event Executive with Alice’s Table, a national company that provides their Execs the opportunity to host creative workshops to teach the art of flower arranging. She holds charity and private events in Palm Beach and Martin Counties and donates her profit after expenses to the not-for-profit organization that is hosting the event.  She recently held a sold out event to benefit Els for Autism. Her next event will be with Mary’s Shelter in Stuart.

On her Facebook business page, Myra shares articles on flower care and flower related events. Last but certainly not least, Myra participates in “For The One Who Finds Me,” a social art project where people place tiny bouquets in public spaces for friends and strangers to find and enjoy.

Myra participates in "For The One Who Finds Me," where she leaves spaces around Tequesta and Jupiter for people to find in hopes to bring a little joy to their day.

“The little bouquets have a tag that says: ‘If you find this, it’s for you.’ I’ve been placing them around Tequesta and Jupiter. For most of them I have no idea who found them, but for some of them I do, as people will post pictures of the bouquets on social media. It’s nice to see how you can make people’s day in a small way. Keep your eyes peeled, you may just find one!” says Myra.
