Former Metallica Rocker Unveils New Mural in Tequesta, FL

TEQUESTA, FL – April 8, 2018 – Six time Grammy award winner Jason Newsted, formerly of Metallica and now a prominent local artist, is unveiling a new, one of a kind mural on the wall of a local restaurant. Newsted will be unveiling the unique art at Evo in Tequesta on April 11th at Evo’s 11th anniversary celebration. Newsted, an accomplished musician, has branched out into the world of art, and this is his first mural.

“I love this local gem of a restaurant and couldn’t think of a better place or time than Evo’s 11th anniversary to debut this special art piece,” Newsted said.

“We are honored to have somebody of Jason’s caliber adorning our walls,” said Head Chef Erik Petterson. “It makes our 11th anniversary that much more special and we can’t wait for the public to come celebrate with us.”

Chef Erik will also unveil a special, one-week only Italian grilled cheese appetizer for Evo’s anniversary that will cost $11.00. All proceeds from the sale of this appetizer over the week will go to the Joe Namath Foundation, who is a supporter of the event.

The event will be filled with live music, food and drink and special celebrity guests.
