SPRING 2019 (Florida Coast Magazine) – Jupiter, Florida is without a doubt, one of the most scenic places on the U.S. East Coast. Lessing’s Hospitality Group picked Jupiter as the setting for Pelican Club because of its prime location in a state that a few of their family members call home. The Lessing’s portfolio of high-end event venues, spanning from Montauk and Westchester, New York to Jupiter, Florida caters more than 1,200 weddings per year.

The President of Lessing’s Hospitality Group, Michael Lessing, states, “Being a part of our local communities is something that we value. We believe that contributing to the community of Jupiter will be a great opportunity for us to expand into the Sunshine State.”

The Pelican Club will be opening its doors in April 2019, and it already has numerous event bookings lined up. The venue is conveniently located in Jupiter Village on North Highway A1A between Jetty’s restaurant and the Square Grouper bar. Surrounded by the rich, lush landscape of the Loxahatchee River and boasting the best views of the iconic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, the location is in prime position for any event.

The Pelican Club will be a truly unique venue for the Jupiter area, exclusively focusing on weddings, social gatherings, and special or corporate events. The area was in desperate need of an alternative to the private clubs and hotels, which have dominated the event venue scene in the past. Now there is a classy alternative, which has the capacity to host both large and small events, from intimate dinners for 20 to 40 people in the private dining room, to waterfront galas and weddings for up to 400 in the 7,000 square foot grand ballroom.

The 7,000 square foot grand ballroom can hold up to 400 people for beautiful waterfront galas and weddings.

The 150-feet of floor to ceiling glass windows and a full wall of sliding glass doors in the grand ballroom present a breath-taking dramatic coastal backdrop. In addition to the natural view, there is a 6,000 square foot waterfront all-weather deck and private dock so that guests may enjoy entertaining in the South Florida sunshine. The design radiates quality with modern features, suiting the tranquil setting. Cypress accents are accompanied by a comforting color scheme, with rich hardwood floors balancing perfectly with the cool, white woodwork.

Anna Erickson is the Catering Director at the Pelican Club, offering a wealth of experience from the catering and events industry. She perfected her skills at Sotheby’s of New York and spent time abroad researching the elite cuisine from a variety of different cultures. After leaving New York, Anna headed to South Florida, where she worked in high-end restaurants such as The Breakers Palm Beach. She joined Lessing’s Hospitality Group after 11 years at PGA National Spa & Resort, where she planned hundreds of weddings, galas, and golf tournaments. Anna describes working at the Pelican Club as her “dream job” and is excited to see what inspiration it will provide to the area’s events.
