Florida Coast Magazine – Holiday 2019 – In October, Jupiter’s The Dress Collection boutique teamed up with Busch Wildlife Sanctuary to raise money for the local nature center’s animals and facilities. Busch Wildlife is a non-profit that takes in injured animals and rehabilitates them before possible releasing them back in to the wild. The three amicable animals featured for the day were “Viho” the Barn Owl, “Noodle” the Florida Alligator, and “Patty” the Possum. Guests were able to take pictures with the animals in front of The Dress Collection’s photo backdrop. Amy Knight, executive director of Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, commented, “The goal for today is to raise awareness for Florida’s wildlife and hopefully raise some money for the animals.” Busch Wildlife Sanctuary relies solely on donations and private funding to run the day-to-day operations.

The proceeds consisted of raffle ticket sales, donations, and 10% of The Dress Collection sales from the day. The money raised will be used for Busch Wildlife’s general operating expenses, upcoming capital projects (raccoon habitats and flight cages for birds of prey), and eco-friendly products for the sanctuary.

Claudine Marrero, owner of The Dress Collection, remarked, “My love for animals and my passion for fashion are a fun combination! I have always been passionate about giving back to the community.”
