Scott Sharp to Race in Long Beach Grand Prix

JUPITER, FL – March 21, 2017 – Fresh off the competition at Sebring, Scott Sharp and his ESM Racing crew are preparing to compete in the Bubba Burger Sports Car Grand Prix race of Long Beach in Long Beach, California on April 7 and 8. The Long Beach Grand Prix is an historic race in which competitors race through the streets of Long Beach, rather than around a fixed arena track. Winding along the city streets, with a famous hairpin turn near the finish line, the Long Beach Grand Prix attracts Indy and FormulaOne, as well as Extreme Speed Prototype cars.

Team Tequila Patron ESM goes into the Long Beach challenge after retiring early with mechanical issues after 12 hours at Sebring. "This is all part of developing a new car and engine," says Sharp. "Sometimes the teething issues take a little longer to work through. But we will sort them all out. We have the power of Nissan /Nismo and all of their technicians and the strong engineering / design core from Onroak, as well as everyone here at ESM tackling each piece."

Having spent time in the ESM Garage and with the crew at Sebring, there is no doubt that Sharp and his team will hit the streets of Long Beach in top form. InJupiter wishes them the best of luck! For the view from the pit, stay tuned to future issues.
