Police Officer's Ball Honors the Jupiter Police Foundation

JUPITER, FL – May 1, 2019 – On Friday, March 29th, The Jupiter Police Foundation held its first Police Officer's Ball at the luxurious Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida. The notable evening raised vital funds for the Jupiter Police Department, and it highlighted the amazing work the men and women of the force undertake to serve and help make Jupiter a safe place to live.

An impressive 300 people attended the black-tie inaugural gala, which commenced at 6 p.m. Ladies wore stunning dresses, and gentlemen appeared in their finest dinner jackets. On arrival, a variety of delectable cocktails and canapés were served, followed by Channel 5 anchor Kelley Dunn introducing the speakers of the evening, featuring honorary chair and world famous golfer, Jack Nicklaus. Chief Kerr, the chief of Jupiter Police, thanked the crowd for attending and also the Jupiter Police Foundation for all their hard work and commitments. President David Schultz also thanked the board saying, "This event would not have happened without our hard-working board members." Peter Robbins the event chair added, "The job of a police officer is difficult. Tonight we honor each and every one of you and thank you for everything you do in our community." 

Following the speeches, guests then dined on an assortment of prime filet and sea bass, followed by a rich and creamy “chocolate bomb” dessert, which consisted of three different kinds of chocolate topped with the Jupiter Police Foundation symbol in white chocolate.

The much anticipated auction showcased numerous items to bid on including a chance to win a trip to South Africa and one lucky guest was thrilled to win “Sheriff for the Day,” which included becoming a sheriff for a day and a helicopter ride. A surprise appearance by Sheriff Ric Bradshaw rounded off the entertaining auction.

After all the excitement of the auction, the band started to play some funky tunes as the guests migrated to the dance floor for what was a fun conclusion to a successful Police Officer’s Ball.
