JUPITER, FL – January 31, 2018 – The Loxahatchee Guild held its 34th Annual Fundraising Gala, themed “Twilight in Paradise”, on Saturday evening, January 20th at Jonathan’s Landing Golf Club.  The event was Co-Chaired by Loxahatchee Guild board members, Susan Leikin and Cindy Wester.

This year's event sold out with a record attendance of over 180 guests enjoying a lovely, elegant tropical-themed evening, beginning at twilight as the theme suggests. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception followed by dinner, dancing, a silent auction with over 75 auction items for bid including a fully operating, mini replica Tesla automobile, a beverage bottle ring toss and 50/50 raffle. Guests were entertained by and enjoyed dancing to The Memory Lane Band playing “more than just Motown” tunes, top 40’s, 80’s, jazz, disco and other standards. Loxahatchee Guild President, Mary Grace Richardson, spoke to guests about the Loxahatchee Guild, its’ mission and their main purpose of raising funds to promote, protect and preserve local history in the Jupiter and Tequesta area since 1981 for projects such as The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum Tindall Pioneer House, the Dubois Pioneer House in Dubois Park and the 1915 FEC Train Depot now located in Saw Fish Bay Park.

The Guild also recently committed to helping the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreations Department to preserve the historic Pineapple House also located in Dubois Park. Ms. Richardson also recognized two original Founding Loxahatchee Guild Members that were in attendance, Mrs. Leslie Cook and Mrs. Rose Meyerowich of Tequesta, Florida.
