This Summer: Pop Ice, Not Bottles

This Summer: Pop Ice, Not Bottles

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – May 28, 2021 – Who’s ready for MDW?! I’ll give you a clue, it’s me, I’m ready and I’m pumped to tell you why.

Do you remember when you were a kid in the summertime, after an afternoon running around with friends, or coming home from a long beach day? All you wanted was to indulge in something frozen. You all know where I’m going with this, you wanted an ice pop.

We’re adults now, we can’t be stealing our kids’ ice pops… So why not buy our own, and better yet, why not get boozy with it? You’re probably wondering if something so wonderful actually exists. I’m here to tell you, they are REAL, and let me tell you this… They’re exquisite.

I recently tried SLIQ Spirited Ice. First impressions are important, and these certainly left their mark on me. The packaging is simple and attractive, while their flavors are bold and delicious. For me, personally, there was a lingering fear that the flavors would taste artificial. We’ve ALL been there. A new colorful, boozy beverage hits the shelves of every liquor store in the country and we run towards it, only to find out it’s a sugary disaster in a bottle. I wasn’t going to let that stop me.

Three boxes, three spirits, three flavors per spirit. I dove in head first.

Spirits & Their Flavors:

Vodka:

Lemonade

Blue Raspberry

Cranberry & Grapefruit

Agave:

Classic Margarita

Mango Margarita

Strawberry Margarita

Rum:

Coconut & Lime Daiquiri

Pineapple Daiquiri

Strawberry Daiquiri

SLIQ Spirited Ice

To my surprise, these tasted like a frozen cocktail you’d pay for at your favorite tiki bar. As they were all spot-on and tasty, I have my top 3 flavor recommendations. I’m an Agave lover, and the Mango Margarita flavor wins the top prize for me. Second is the Vodka Lemonade flavor. My third favorite is the Pineapple Daiquiri flavor.

Once I was able to try at least one of each flavor, I hit the beach with some friends and passed the pops around. For the next hour, all I heard was “hand me another.” They became a crowd favorite that are now a beach staple for my crew, giving us that nostalgic feel, but with an added buzz.

Not only does SLIQ Spirited Ice produce a great product, they also stand up for sustainability. You can recycle your used plastic tubes responsibly with TerraCycle, an international waste management company that is in the business of recycling the types of waste that are not recyclable curbside.

If you’re ready to have the summer your inner child looks forward to every year, pop those pops in the freezer, and don’t forget to drink responsibly!
